Sant’Agostino 2006, Firriato

IMG_4090 Good Sicilian wine chardonnay, 14.5vol quite a lot, which is typical for a south wine. I can’t tell anything bad about that wine, enjoyable.
Bought at Esselunga in Milano, 13 euro.

    Enjoyed 2 bottles (2 evenings) in Rome at Bar Amici near Termini station 24 and 25 Oct 2007 buono gusto ma 16 euro per una bottiglia

    the s. agostino wine is not a chardonnay variety, is a fifty/fifty mix of sirah and nero d’avola wine………great!
    check better your describtions!

    Caro Mario, la Firriato (www.firriato.it) guidata da Salvatore e dalla “appariscente” moglie Vinzia, produce due etichette di S.Agostino. Una etichetta Rossa e una etichetta Bianca. Quest’ultima, piacevolissima è un 50% Catarratto e 50% Chardonnay. Certo, Max Favilli non è un sommelier di fama internazionale ma ti assicuro che è in grado di riconoscere un bianco da un rosso! Se non fosse per tutte le sbronze che si è preso nella sua lunga carriera di appassionato degustatore!!!

    Lezione number one: prima di fare i professori, assicurarsi di esserlo veramente.
